Are you being bullied?
Do you know someone being bullied?

If you are a bully, please stop!
Be the better person.

What is Bullying?

Bullying can be defined as the use of one's strength or status to intimidate, injure, or humiliate another person of lesser strength or status. Bullying can be categorized as physical, verbal, or social.

Physical bullying means:

  • Hitting, kicking, or pushing someone...or even just threatening to do it
  • Stealing, hiding or ruining someone's things
  • Making someone do things he or she doesn’t want to do

Verbal bullying means:

  • Name-calling
  • Teasing
  • Insulting

Social bullying means:

  • Refusing to talk to someone
  • Spreading lies or rumors about someone
  • Making someone do things he or she doesn't want to do

Bully Statistics

  • 1 out of 4 kids is bullied.  The American Justice Department says that this month 1 out of every 4 kids will be abused by another youth.
  • 1 out of 5 kids admits to being a bully, or doing some "bullying."
  • 282,000 students are physically attacked in secondary schools each month.
  • Every day, more than 160,000 children miss school because they fear being bullied and teased.
  • More than one-third (41.2%) of students reported some instance in the past year of “cyberbullying”.
  • Less than half (43.8%) of students who reported incidents of victimization to school staff said that the actions taken by school authorities to address the situation were effective.

Take a Stand!
Don't be Another Bully Statistic!

The pervasive feelings associated with being bullied are sometimes overwhelming.  A person feels shamed and feels like they did something wrong.  They may feel like everyone else thinks similar thoughts as the bully and believe they don't belong. Bullying can even make others not want to come back to school anymore.  It feels like bullies can affect everything you do.

Hurtful feelings imposed by bullies are normal.  A lot of people are afraid to seek help for fear of repercussions or they lack confidence in the help available.  This website is a safe opportunity for students to be heard.  Remember, you deserve support if a person is being unkind to you because this person is going to continue to hurt you or others.  Speak out and be heard.  Help stop the negative behavior that violates the rights of others.  Your input might help you as well as someone else.  It will help this school become a better and stronger place to be.
