Web Design Competition

The Challenge:

Your group has been selected to design and construct a website promoting the concept of going green.  It is up to your team to best accomplish this task.  However, you must meet the criteria listed below. Remember that you want the website to be well organized, visually appealing, and user friendly.

Criteria:

The website should:

• Include information and graphics about your program's activities

• Be well designed and visually appealing

• Be creative

• Meet all of the criteria on the Grading Rubric sheet

• Give reasons why we should go green

Submissions:

Teams must submit:

• Website saved network folder for judges

• Brainstorming sheet

• Storyboard sheet

• Written Rationale sheet

Schedule:

• Introduction - 5 minutes

• Brainstorming - 20 minutes

• Website Production - 70 minutes

• Presentation - 5 minutes

• Group Discussion - 20 minutes

Grading Rubric:

• Appropriate theme and title - 6 points

• Organization - 6 points

• Visual Appealing - 6 points

• Navigation - 6 points

• Graphics - 10 points

• External Links - 10 points

• Internal Links - 10 points

• Text Content enhancing topic - 10 points

• Brainstorming Sheet - 6 points

• Storyboard Sheet - 6 points

• Rationale Sheet - 6 points

• Team Member Participation - 6 points

• Presentation - 6 points

• Total Points = 100
