Since the 1800s, the arts have been an important part of Nashville, Indiana, and the Brown County community. Beginning in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The Hoosier Group, especially artist T.C. Steele, brought national attention to our community, with impressionist style paintings of the hills and valleys of our scenic landscape. Once an artists' colony, now a tourist center and home to many artists, our community continues to value art and artists.
