What is line? What are the different kinds of line? Can line convey emotion? Activity A. Students will view overheads of line and textures created using line; they will discuss line direction, width, pressure of line. H.3.3 Activity B. To practice looking at line, students will draw an “upside-down drawing” projected onto the large screen. Teacher will use this drawing to assess each student’s ability to look carefully. H.7.1 Materials: Drawing paper, roller ball or ball point pens, objects. Overhead transparency of drawing. Evaluation: Drawings will be evaluated according to their ability to look carefully and draw what they see, not what they know.
