Lesson 2:  What are some techniques used to make line drawings?

Activity A.  Students will use blind contour technique to draw their hand. H.7.1

Activity B.  Students will use modified contour technique to draw their hand holding something. H.7.1

Activity C.  Students will use gesture technique to draw flowers. H.7.1

Materials:  Drawing paper, roller ball or ball point pens, objects like rubber insects, rubber animals, shells, dried plants, etc.  Overhead transparencies of contour drawing.

Evaluation:  Drawings will be evaluated according to creativity and mechanics (careful use of contour techniques).
