will learn how to
Activity
A. Divide into pairs and make 20 clay tiles (2 1/2 x 3" each).
Make a line halfway down the tile. Put a texture on the bottom half of the
tile.

Activity
B. Make four separate batches of base glaze, putting each into
separate yoghurt containers labeled A, B, C, D. To each container add a
different colorant in an amount on which both students agree. Write down
the name of the colorant and the percentage used on each container. For
example, 2% copper. Add water to each container, one tablespoon at time until
the consistency is like milk. Stir thoroughly and put through sieve if
possible. H.11.1
Activity
C. Label the tiles A, B, C, D, A + B, A + C, A + D and so on. Brush
the glaze evenly on both halves, then a second coat on one half, and a third on
a corner. Activity
D. After the tiles are fired, make a display on a piece of painted board.
Include labels with all relevant information.
