Visits to Museum 

Collection of Ceramics 

and a Local Potter

Unit Objectives:  Students will learn 

• about the history of ceramics

• the lifestyle of a potter

• campus life and the fine arts department

Students will take a field trip to see first hand some of the pots they have been and will be studying.  They will have a guided tour of the ceramics collection at Indiana University Art Museum .  On the way they will stop to visit a local potter, view demonstrations and see some of the potter's work.

After their tour students will see what campus life is like, visiting fine arts classrooms and the largest student union in the world.
